POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN NEUROIMMUNOLOGY/INFECTIOUS DISEASE

UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA MEDICAL CENTER- OMAHA, NE

A NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Tammy Kielian in the Department of Pathology and Microbiology, University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, USA. The successful candidate will direct independent projects related to the role of innate immunity in host defense against staphylococcal biofilms in a mouse model of craniotomy-associated infection (Am J. Pathology, 183:450-458, 2013) as well as translational research immunophenotyping leukocytes from patients with craniotomy infections by RNA-Seq and metabolomics.

The successful candidate must possess a PhD in immunology or a related immunology-intensive background and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
