  • Carlos H. Serezani, VUMC has just been awarded tenure and is now an Associate Professor.
  • Albert Sek, SLB 2019 Presidential Finalist, recently defended his PhD and graduated from UCLA. Albert is currently working in the lab of SLB's 2020 Honorary Lifetime Awardee, Helene Rosenberg's at NIH/NIAID and is looking forward to transitioning to a career as a scientist within the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Hal Broxmeyer, IU School of Medicine, published commentary in Stem Cells and Development (read it now) on the impact of Covid-19 and is now working on a Supplement to his NHLBI R35 (Outstanding Investigator Award) to study the Covid-19 virus which he hopes to submit soon. Hal also recently added these 2019 awards to his distinguished list of well deserved recognitions;  IU President’s Medal of Honor; highest honor given by IU; Lifetime Achievement Award, Cord Blood Association; Daughters of The American Revolution Medal of Honor, their highest honor.

  • Vijaya Iragavarapu, Florida Atlantic University, and SLB Councilor, has been promoted to Full Professor.
