2022 SCHOOL

The SCHOOL program that will be offered to trainee attendees as part of the 2022 conference is taking shape!  See below for the current program. This special trainee focused program is planned by the Members in Transition and Training Committee and aims to foster trainees with educational sessions, skill building and professional and personal development.  Sign-up for the SCHOOL during the registration process.

Wednesday, October 26th, 2022

9-9:15am – Welcome and Introductions: Meet the leadership of The Members in Transition and Training Committee and learn how they contribute to the community as a while in addition to hearing an overview of the day's program.

9:15-10:25am – Michael Schnoor, CINVESTAV del IPN, "Leukocyte Recruitment and Techniques"

10:25-10:50am –  Networking Break

10:50am-12pm – Faith Osier, International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, "Vaccine Development and Public Health Responses"

12-1pm – Networking lunch: Meet with Society leaders, speakers and peers for networking during this lunch break.  A great opportunity to connect with fellow attendees, learn more about the society, and ask your career questions one-on-one.

1-2:45pm – Akiko Minoda, RIKEN IMS & RIMLs Radboud University, "Understanding and interpreting single-cell sequencing data via access to openly available datasets on cellxgene"

2:45-3pm – Networking Break

3-4pm – Cherie Butts, Biogen & Daniela Cipolletta, Seismic Therapeutic, "Life Beyond Academia: What you need to know and what nobody told you."
