Journal of Leukocyte Biology

Mission Statement:

The Journal of Leukocyte Biology (JLB) publishes original experimental and clinical research on the cellular, structural, and molecular immunobiology of innate and adaptive leukocytes and/or stromal cells and other cell types that, via in vitro, ex vivo or in vivo studies, provides new insights into their function and their products in the context of immunity, development, homeostasis, host-pathogen interactions, immunotherapy and immunopathogenesis.  JLB also publishes basic, translational and clinical reviews as well as commentaries on current journal content. JLB is society owned by the Society for Leukocyte Biology and supports society programming, awards, committee activities and more.  JLB is published by Oxford University Press (OUP) on behalf of SLB.

JLB values diversity and inclusive practices within the publishing community and aims to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for researchers from all backgrounds. All editors and reviewers are expected to communicate with authors, and each other, with respect, patience, and an understanding that members of our community have different communication styles, including possible challenges with language barriers and unseen differences. JLB is also committed to identifying and assisting, however possible, individuals with barriers to publish to maximize journal engagement and access across identity groups.
