The   Messaoudi Lab seeks a postdoctoral fellow to work on a recently awarded NIH R01 project to investigate the impact of maternal pre-pregnancy obesity on neonatal and maternal immunity and more specifically monocyte function  response to combinations of adjuvants delivered using a new vaccine platform based on bacterial outer membrane vesicles. The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for ex vivo functional and genomic assays as well as the bioinformatic analyses. Therefore, the successful candidate will have PhD in immunology and be willing to learn bioinformatics or a computational biologist who is interested in gaining bench work expertise. Experience in cell culture, cellular immune response assays (stimulation assays, luminex, flow cytometry), and next generation sequencing (RNASeq, ATACSeq, ChIPSeq) is highly desired. Interested applicants should submit a cover letter including a statement of career goals, resume and contact information for three references to Dr. Ilhem Messaoudi ([email protected]).
